Habitual Traffic Offender

The Florida Statutes designate Habitual Traffic Offenders as persons with three convictions for specified offenses within a 5 year period. Convictions for such offenses as involuntary manslaughter, DUI, Driving with a Suspended or Revoked License, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, or any felony in the commission of which a motor vehicle is used may result in the designation as a Habitual Traffic Offender. Once that happens, the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles will send you a notice that your license is suspended for 5 years.

It is important to consult with an experienced attorney before entering a plea to any criminal traffic offense.
